How does health coaching work?

As a health coach I provide support to my clients to help them make long-lasting life changes in various areas of their lives. Because health goes beyond food, my clients and I focus on nutrition, exercise, work/life balance, de-stressing, romantic & family relationships, career, spirituality, social life, and other things that bring true health.

In a session I ask pointed questions and listen to you allowing your innate wisdom to come through. I also assist in creating goals and help you break down these goals down into steps that make them attainable. Lastly, I share tips and information for putting these goals into place.

Why do I need health coaching?

Oprah.com asks: Have you ever lost weight, only to find the pounds creeping back on just a few months later? Or vowed to eat a healthier diet but found it too hard to decipher food labels or set aside time to cook? If you're having trouble meeting a health goal, or if you've tried in the past and failed, you might benefit from an increasingly popular new resource—a health coach. Unlike, say, a workout buddy, "a health coach is trained to help you break your goal into manageable steps, track your progress, and identify and overcome personal roadblocks.

What are the logistics?

As a health coach I work one-on-one with clients via Skype or phone, which means I work with clients all around the world! We have regular calls over the course of a few months where we tap into the root of what's going on, set goals, and manage bumps along the way. My clients also have access to me for email check in's between sessions for additional guidance and support.

What happens at my Health Strategy session?

Before we even meet: I send you a health history form that allows me get a deep understanding of your story and to connect the dots between your life and the underlying causes of your symptoms.

At our Health Strategy session we review your health history form, talk about your health challenges and goals, and discuss the ways in which coaching can specifically help you. We also go over some simple strategies to help you get you started right away and I give you a program recommendation tailored to your needs.
